Are you interested in working behind the scenes in theatre, learning your trade in sound, lighting, and scenic construction, as well as production and stage management?
Based at The Arden School of Theatre this HND in Technical Theatre and Production Arts will provide you with the skills necessary to enter the exciting world of technical theatre.
Initially you will concentrate on operational level skills, including sound, lighting, and scenic construction, before moving into design and stage management in your second year. You will also have the opportunity to work alongside our performing arts degree students on their final productions, working with top creative directors from the industry on real life projects whilst being mentored by industry specialists. The Arden School of Theatre immerses you into a community of theatre makers, performers, and creatives; helping you to achieve and be the best you can be.
We also enjoy strong relationships with local theatres including Contact Theatre, The Royal Exchange, 53Two, and Hope Mill Theatre.

HOW WILL I BE ASSESSED?
Assessment will be largely portfolio based, through ongoing coursework against each of the modules. There will be varying assessment methods which will include presentations, formal written reports, portfolios that will showcase a variety of creative products.
